Business Analyst – Brussels – Freelance (12 months+)
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a leading European energy market organisation in the evolution and oversight of their systems.
This role offers 2 days working from home per week.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the translation of regulatory and stakeholder needs into clear, implementable platform requirements.
• Assess compliance and functional gaps and define improvement actions.
• Define and manage business requirements, user stories, and change initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and roadmaps supporting platform development.
• Work closely with delivery partners to align solutions with business expectations.
• Validate designs, specifications, and test outcomes against agreed requirements.
• Support delivery, testing, and stakeholder decision-making across projects.
Skills Required:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within the energy sector.
• Strong background in regulatory-driven IT platforms and change management.
• Demonstrated experience with gap analysis and requirements engineering.
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML, XML-based data models, and SDLC best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
